“I thought you’d like to see something of how I’m using Context Organizer. In the first case (http://www.ourstory.com/thread.html?t=363005#448785), I used Context Organizer to help sift through an enormous amount of information regarding the recent cartoon racism controversy which, for many, linked President Barack Obama to the shooting of a chimpanzee in Connecticut. This was all over the internet for at least a couple of days and I had collected more than 40 single-spaced pages of excerpts and links.

 

In another case, I looked at the incident of the 3 year old boy who rode the NYC subway all by himself after leaving his mother at a McDonald’s (http://www.ourstory.com/thread.html?t=362728#448291).

 

Again, this was all over the internet and I’d collected many pages of excerpts and links. At any rate,  the point is that I have developed a workflow that lets me identify major ideas and themes in those huge compilations and then, around those themes and thanks to Context Organizer, quickly identify key sentences saturated with key words. From there , it is only a matter of minutes and some rearranging until I’m able to turn the meaningful and "rich" condensed information into a useful summary.
